We are so excited to announce the (re) launch of the Hopkins Youth Ballet - a vibrant, inclusive, and youth-driven dance community.

Through the Hopkins Youth Ballet, dancers will have the opportunity to participate in a number of exciting opportunities:

Regular weekly classes in ballet, tap, contemporary, and jazz
Special classes featuring guest artists teaching everything from Hip Hop to Partnering…
Stage performances with multiple opportunities for lead and supporting roles
Production experience in stage management, choreography, and costume design
Firsthand experience in how a professional dance company works

At Hopkins Dance, we believe that dance is for everyone regardless of size, shape, or skill level! The Hopkins Youth Ballet is built on these core principles:

Since 1983, Hopkins Dance Company has provided exceptional dance training for students of all ages and has been a driving force in developing and raising the standards for dance technique. We provide scholarships in memory of our founder, Leslie J. Daly, for both our regular enrollment, and for performers in the Hopkins Youth Ballet.

In expanding the spectrum of performing opportunities, Hopkins Dance Company along with the Hopkins Youth Ballet have created full length productions as well as partnerships with other Twin Cities schools. This unique cooperation has fostered new and exciting friendships and performances outside of the competition arena.

HYB Dancers learn new repertoire, work with a variety of choreographers, experience individual and group coaching in different styles, develop personal responsibility, and hone their performing skills and technical excellence during their time as an HYB Company dancer.

Hopkins Youth Ballet company members are selected through an audition process and placed in one of the following companies:
